Description:

You may think that food will satisfy your hunger, yet what you may truly be hungry for is love, touch, sound, beauty….any of the nine hungers identified in this six-week course. Identifying your hunger(s) and exploring the means of satisfying your need(s) in the present moment can lead to greater well-being and possibly weight loss.

Awareness of your internal dialogue allows you to consciously respond to your hunger rather than automatically reacting in ways that do not serve you well. You may have that slice of cake without guilt or remorse because you made the intentional choice. Choice is power, and you will learn the tools and techniques to empower your eating habits instead of living with the dieting mindset of denial and shame.

Guided meditation, gentle movement and stretching, and small group discussion are experienced in each of the six weekly classes. Assigned home practice that reinforces the class techniques is strongly encouraged to reap the greatest benefits. Taught by a licensed professional therapist, you will be supported in any way that you need throughout your Mindful Eating journey.

Fee: $27500 per person
